Just before Christmas, eleven huge malls around the United States are attacked by well-equipped, highly- trained death squads-simultaneously. Three-man teams fire into crowded pavilions of unsuspecting and defenseless shoppers at will with sub-machine guns, killing and wounding hundreds of patrons, then race to waiting vehicles and disappear into the landscape in seconds with meticulously planned getaways.
Days later, they reappear, attacking more “soft” targets including schools, universities, strip malls and corporations-then disappear again. The human cost is horrific-as is the economic toll. The population is in mortal danger anytime, anywhere and a siege mentality overtakes the nation. Schools are closed, stores are dark, companies shut down, and people become shut-ins. Death could be anywhere at this point. It’s best not to go out at all. And the economy is in a free-fall.
RED CELL SEVEN is the country’s most covert and successful intelligence unit. Founded by Richard Nixon in the early nineteen-seventies to spy on the Soviets, the small cell of shadow-dwelling agents operates independently with no reporting requirements to anyone inside the federal government or elsewhere. RC7 is funded by private interests; is immune from prosecution of any kind; can interrogate anyone using any means desired; and boasts an unparalleled level of triumph in terms of short-circuiting potential terrorist attacks on the United States and bringing guilty parties to justice.
Despite its amazing success, RED CELL SEVEN is fighting to survive. Liberal elements within the federal government detest and fear the unit’s ability to operate unfettered and to interrogate at will, and are scheming to bring it down. The cell’s ability to operate as it does is conditioned upon maintaining possession of a crucial document-which the doves understand and are doing anything they can-legal or illegal-to obtain.
As agents of RED CELL SEVEN race against time to find the perpetrators of the “Holiday Mall Attacks”, they must protect themselves from being destroyed by some of the very people they defend. The rest of U.S. Intel cannot crack the Mall Attacks, while the only one which is getting close to finding the terrorists is about to be destroyed. AVAILABLE 1.21.14
